A Cleanliness Drive was successfully organized at Golden Trumpet Public School on 4th February 2026 (Wednesday) with the aim of promoting cleanliness, hygiene, and social responsibility among students.
The programme began with a brief address by the Principal and Academic Director, Shri Soumen Chakraborty, highlighting the importance of cleanliness in daily life and its role in maintaining a healthy environment. Chandra Biswas Ma’am also spoke about the necessity of understanding the concept of cleanliness and hygiene from a young age.
Students from Classes Pre-Nursery, Nursery, Preparatory and One, actively participated in cleaning the school campus, classrooms, corridors, playground, and surrounding areas.
Equipped with mops and dustbins, the students worked enthusiastically under the guidance of teachers and staff members. They were also sensitized about segregation of waste into dry waste and wet waste, proper waste disposal and the importance of keeping their surroundings clean. After cleaning, they were taught to wash their hands properly and maintain good hygiene.
The Cleanliness Drive instilled a sense of discipline, teamwork, and civic duty among the students. The initiative concluded with a pledge taken by students to maintain cleanliness in school and surroundings.
The event was a meaningful step towards nurturing responsible citizens and reinforcing the values of a clean and green environment.
