National Youth Day Celebration at GTPS
Golden Trumpet Public School celebrated National Youth Day with great enthusiasm and reverence on 9th January, commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a great philosopher and youth icon of India.
The programme began with a special assembly where students were briefed about the life, teachings, and ideals of Swami Vivekananda by the Principal Sir, Shri Soumen Chakraborty. His inspiring thoughts on youth empowerment, character building, and service to humanity were shared to motivate the students. Chandra Biswas Madam’s message to the students was to follow the path of truth, courage, and hard work.
Amrita Roy, a student of Class I, dressed up as Swami Vivekananda and presented a speech highlighting the importance of youth in nation-building. She also quoted Swami Vivekananda’s powerful sayings, emphasizing values such as self-confidence, discipline, and dedication. Our teacher, Mrs Sumita Rao, then recited the famous Swadesh Mantra of Swamiji in Bengali, highlighting the values of national pride, brotherhood and spirituality.
The programme was, therefore, meaningful and inspiring, leaving a lasting impact on young minds.
